Around the Ship...
The public areas, page two.

The QE2 Bell, on display in one of the stairwells... there were so many stairways I forget which one this was!

Wooden carved crest in the Queen's Grill restaurant.

Some of the lovely fine china tableware in the Queen's Grill. All the restaurants on board (5) were graciously appointed.

In the Mauretania Dining Room, an intricate horsehead sculpture. The original plans called for solid crystal, however because of the incredible weight of the piece it was done instead in hollow bronze with a pewter finish.

It's truly a good thing my husband knew his way around the ship, for it is simply huge! There are five main restaurants on board, the Mauretania, Caronia, Princess and Britannia Grills and the Queen's Grill (aside from the Lido and Pavillion which are informal). We dined in the Britannia Grill which we loved. The other restaurants were lovely as well, although the Mauretania and Caronia are very large.
